Albert D. Held of Kingston, MA died Sunday, February 7, 2010, after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Born and raised in NY he later moved to Massachusetts where he raised his family on the South Shore. Al's passion in life was family. His love and dedication to his wife Annmarie, his daughter Ali-Elizabeth and her boyfriend Jesse Vennard, his daughter Emily, his son Andrew, his father Henry Held, his mother Mary Held and his ten brothers and sisters was surpassed by none and will remain a part of them all.
A funeral mass will take place on Friday, February 12, at 10am at St. Ann's Parish, Dorchester. In lieu of flowers, the family plans to sponsor a blood drive for South Shore Hospital where they will ask for your donations in an effort to support others battling similar illnesses. Information forthcoming.
