Obituary of Ellen McAlear

Ellen McAlear, of Pembroke, died March 24, 2010 while in the loving care and comfort of her family. She was 71 years old. Beloved wife of Anthony McAlear Jr. Loving mother of Anthony McAlear III and his wife Tracey of Pembroke, Robin McAlear of Plainville, Terry and her husband Captain Micheal Cockey, U.S. Navy of Honolulu, James McAlear and his wife Mary of Pembroke, and Stephen and his wife Joanie McAlear of Norton. Dear sister of Jerry Quinn of Plainville, and Danny Quinn of Seattle, WA. Loving grandmother of Ben, Brenda, Sean, Emily, Katie, Patrick, Quinn, and Griffin. Ellen was a well respected real estate broker in the Scituate and surrounding communities for over twenty five years. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 26th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St. (Rt. 14), Pembroke. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 27th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 1 Kent St. in Scituate. Internment will be at St. Mary’s cemetery in Scituate.
