Obituary of Charles H. Flaherty

Charles H. Flaherty, of Kingston, and formerly of Brockton died on March 24, 2010. He was 91 years old. Charles is a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy. He retired from Brockton Fire Department Squad A, where he served for over 20 years. Beloved husband of Diane (Tyldesley) Ward Flaherty. Former husband of the late Ida L. Flaherty. Loving father of Nancy M. Gedraitis and her husband William of Middleboro. Step father of Diane Ward of Scituate, James Ward of Avon, Karen Medici of Scituate, and Francis Ward of W. Palm Beach, FL. Brother of Laura Canoni of Natick, and the late Doris Allen, George Flaherty, and Richard Flaherty. Grandfather of Emily E. Thomas of Winchester, Joshua W. Gedraitis of Wareham, and Sarah E. Besegai of Melrose. Step grandfather of Katie Anctil, Kimberly Galant, Kyle Medici, Kory Medici, and Jackie Medici. Great grandfather of 5. Charles is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, March 28th from 4-8:00PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday March 29th at 10:00AM. Internment will be at the Plymouth County cemetery.
