Obituary of Arlene Paiva

Arlene Paiva, of Pembroke, April 19, 2010. She was 79 years old. Wife of the late Alfred J. Paiva, wed for 51 years. Arlene is survived by her son James D. Paiva and his wife Christine of Halifax. Beloved grandmother of Alexandra Paiva of Bakersfield, CA....and her faithful dog & cat. Arlene is a proud Pembroke resident of 55 years. Arlene attended high school at the Cotting School in Lexington. She operated her home sewing business Alterations by Arlene. Arlene assisted her husband Al and co-operated A.J. Paiva Carpet Service of Pembroke. She enjoyed wintering many years in New Port Richey, FL. Arlene was a member of the Pembroke Republican Committee,a Charter member of Pembroke Committee on Disabilities, the Garden Club, and Bryantville United Methodist Church where she was a past member, lay leader, fund raising chairperson. Memorial visiting hours will be held on Sunday, April 25th from 4-6:00PM at Shepherd Funeral Home 7 Mattakeesett St. (rte 14) Pembroke Center, with a service set to begin at 6:00PM. Internment will be Monday, April 26th at 11:00AM at the Pine Grove cemetery In Pembroke.
