Obituary of Elizabeth Loring
Please share a memory of Elizabeth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Elizabeth “Liz” Loring, of Kingston passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 20th. Liz was the ever loving and doting mother to Mark and his wife Mary of Plymouth, Kevin and his partner Betty Fontes of Plymouth, and Lynn Loring of Middleboro. She was the proud grandmother of Amanda Loring, Catherine Loring, Robert Loring, Patricia Loring, Danielle Franklin, Tabitha Loring and Tristen Loring and great grandmother to Natalia Brown, Caleb Loring Boucher, Audrey Ortiz and Lily Franklin.
Liz was known as a person that anyone could depend on or ask a favor from, she was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She enjoyed spending evenings with her sister, Myrtle Pratt of Kingston, cooking meals for her family, spending time with her friends, especially Linda Bryant of Brockton, and gardening. She especially looked forward to Tuesdays when she would spend the day with her great grandson Caleb having great adventures and inevitably ending up in some kind of mischief!
Liz was born, raised and educated in Duxbury and is preceded in death by her parents, Eden and Clara Peterson, brothers Eden Peterson Jr., and Elwin Peterson. In addition to her sister Myrtle Pratt, she is survived by siblings Marjorie Cole of Plymouth, Mary Cobb of Jacksonville Florida, and Robert Peterson of Gresham Oregon and sister-in-law Paula Peterson of Kingston. She is also survived by her partner Milton “Charlie” Capute of Kingston and several cousins, in particular Judy Buntz of Kingston, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial calling hours will be held Monday, May 24, 2010 from 4pm to 8pm at Shepherds Funeral Home 216 Main St. (Rte 106) Kingston, MA with a memorial service to follow at the funeral home at 8pm. Burial will be private.
