Obituary of Margaret G. Minear

Margaret G. (Marge) Minear, 69, of Plymouth, MA, formerly of Weymouth, MA and West Seneca, NY, passed away suddenly, June 8, 2010, at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth.
Marge was born September 28, 1940 to Lucy (Capan) and Theodore J. (Ted) Golombek. She graduated from West Seneca High School in 1957, and worked as Executive Secretary to John Berlin, Sales Manager for Gold Bond Products/National Gypsum, in Buffalo. After raising her four children, she worked as Executive Assistant for more than twenty years to Charles Newby, Newby, Inc.
She was active in the Buffalo, NY Cursillo movement during the seventies and also enjoyed assisting with the Plymouth Girls Softball Traveling Team for many years in the eighties.
Beloved wife of Bryan J. (Bud) Minear, whom she married fifty years ago, June 18, 1960. Devoted Mother of Debi L. Cherry and husband, Joseph G. of Plymouth, Wendy A. Reynolds and husband, Peter F. of Oxford, MA Tim Minear and wife, Kim (Pursley) of Wentworth, NH, and Jenai M. Minear of Rollinsford, NH. Proud and adoring “Grammy” to Joseph Bryan (JoeB) Cherry and Chelsey Jordan Reynolds. Caring and cherished only daughter of Lucy (Capan) Golombek of Plymouth. She will be also be missed by her indoor cat, Fenway, and various other neighborhood cats that visited her home daily. Predeceased September 26, 2001, by her father, Theodore J. (Ted) Golombek, Marge also leaves many other beloved relatives in NY state, and her high school forever friends.
Visitation will be held at Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, Saturday, June 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father George Bergin, at 1:00 p.m. in St. Peter’s Parish, Plymouth. As Marge was a Faithful supporter of the Boston Red Sox, Red Sox apparel and dungarees are welcome and optional at all services. Burial will be private.
