Please accept my condolences.
I remember working for Dick as an apprentice in the late '60s. He encouraged my to further my education rather than become an electrician. So to some degree I owe my career as an engineer to him.
Thanks Dick, rest in peace.

Dear Jane: I was very sad to read of the passing of your Dad. He was an obvious American original and deeply loved and respected. I hope you find some comfort and peace in the memories of his love and kindess which he clearly provided to his family. I wish you and your family much healing and peace.
With warm regards and thoughts,
The Donovans - Adrienne, Lawrence, Henry and Jake

I was a class mate of Richard. I remember that he was a handsome, rather shy young man. I recall meetimg him on Concord St.and He showed me how to ride a bicycle backward. ( I do not think he'd like to be remembered doing such a silly trick.) He joined the Navy before we graduated. I didn't see him for years. When I did, he was with Ackie, his wife. she was a friend of my sister, he hadn't changed much. I know his daughters will miss this charming man. you have my deepest condolence.

To the Family of Richard S. Ellis:
I could not believe it when I read in the paper of your father’s death on June 2. I had seen him just a week before when I picked up my lamp which he repaired. I thought he was so remarkable for his age. But even more importantly, he was such a delight to do business with. Would that more people in business had his work ethic: honest, prompt, dependable, courteous, and you always knew the work would be done perfectly. I feel like I’ve lost an old friend.
I’m sorry for your pain.
Mary Jane Noel
