Obituary of John F. Guevremont

John F. Guevremont, Sr., 66, of Kingston, passed away after a hard fought battle, on July 27, 2010, while surrounded by his loving family.
John worked for the Silver Lake Regional High School for 32 years. He was also a member of the Hilltop A.A. for 25 years. He was an avid golfer and a member of North Hill Country Club in Duxbury. John enjoyed Foxwoods and "The River".
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 47 years, Carole (O'Brien). His son John Jr. and his wife Donna of Carver. His son Richie and his fiance Sharon Finnegan and her son Richie of Plymouth. His daughter Dawn-Marie MacKenzie and her husband Alan of Plymouth. His mother-in-law Marion O'Brien of Braintree. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Gregory and Jessica MacKenzie, Sarah, Ricky and Samantha Guevremont.
John was the son of the late Albert and Mary (Parker) Guevremont. John is survived by his brothers and sisters Louie Guevremont of Carver, Blanche Doolin of Forestdale, Maryalice Ingersoll of Middletown, RI; Barbara Richman of Weymouth, and Carol Lagroterria of Scituate. He was also the brother to the late Dee Dee Ohman, Jimmy Richman, and Tom Guevremont.
John also leaves many close family members and unforgettable friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 29th from 4-8:00 PM, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 30th, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, 313 Court St, Plymouth. Internment will be at the Evergreen cemetery in Kingston. Casual Dress requested by the family. John wanted everyone to be comfortable.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Jordan Hospital Cancer Club, 275 Sandwich St, Plymouth, MA 02360.
