Obituary of Barbara S. Ahlquist

Barbara S. Ahlquist, born in Plymouth, lifelong resident of Duxbury, died on July 31, 2010. She was 88 years old. Beloved wife of the late Roy W. Ahlquist. Loving mother of Judy Erickson and her husband Richard of Middleboro, Roy Ahlquist Jr. and Marilyn Fistori of Middleboro, Suzanne Mattson and her husband Mark of Duxbury, and the late Ann Simoes, and the late Marlene Sampson and her husband Bernie Sampson of Kingston. Daughter of the late Leopold and Lois (Schneider) Paulson. Sister of the late Patty Olson and her husband Bill Olson, and Alice Cahoon. Cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, and the late Holly Ponte, 29 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Sister Lois Hunt of Duxbury and her husband the late Warren Hunt, Sister Thelma Tuck and her husband Willard of Duxbury Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 5th from 3-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) Kingston. A funeral service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home on Friday, August 6th at 10:00 AM. Internment will be at the Mayflower cemetery in Duxbury.
