Alice Margaret Hickey Elliott of Plymouth, formerly of Bridgewater, passed away September 20, 2010. She was 86 years old. Devoted and beloved wife of the late James W. Elliott, retired Bridgewater Chief of Police. Cherished mother of Shirley A. Perron, the late Vivien M. MacDonald, Debra E. Brown, Sharon L. Elliott and James W. Elliott, Jr. Beloved grandmother of Kimberly Ouellette, Ronald Perron, James Elliott, Miranda Landaluce, Thomas Landaluce, Samuel B. Brown and Lucia E. Brown. Beloved great-grandmother of Jared Ouellette and Travis Ouellette. Loving owner of Teddy.
Mrs. Elliott was a World War II war bride from England who traveled to the US with her two oldest daughters and husband to settle in Massachusetts where she continued her life with her growing family. During her life she helped raise her many siblings, was a seamstress, homemaker, and child care aid. She was an active volunteer into her 70’s, using skills gained as a seamstress during and after the War to help mend costumes at Plimouth Plantation. Her love of life was seen in her passion for swimming, aerobics, biking, traveling, and playing with her grandchildren. She was much loved and will be missed by all who knew her well. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
