Martin N. Nee, 71, of Pembroke, died Sunday, November 7, 2010 with family by his side. Born in Rosmuck, Co. Galway, Ireland December 19, 1938. He came to the United States in 1957. Former member of the Massachusetts National Guard. Retired Steam Engineer for the City of Boston. Son of late Patrick and Bridget Nee of Ireland. Husband of the late Ann B. Nee (Holloran). He leaves behind his son Patrick Nee of Milton, daughter Maureen Nee of Pembroke, daughter Ann Nee-DiBella and son-in-law Paul DiBella of Pembroke. Martin had eleven brothers and sisters the late Patrick Nee, Mary Irvine, Annie McGillicuddy, Anthony Nee, the late Michael Nee, Coleman Nee, Bridget Hussey, Peter Nee, Julia Keane, Catherine Nee, and Barbara Keady. Loving Grandfather (Papa) of eight; Alec, Emma, Max, Ally, Brandon, Nora, Amanda and Jason. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 11th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 7 Mattakeesett St (Rt. 14) Pembroke. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 12th at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker, 1 Maquan St.Hanson. Internment will be at the Center Cemetery in Pembroke. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Dana Farber Cancer Institute,10 Brookline Place West, 6th floorBrookline, MA 02445-7226ATTN: Contribution Services.
