Obituary of Daniel Emerson Dunklee

Daniel Emerson Dunklee, 78, of Kingston died on September 19th 2018 following a brief illness at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. At the time of his passing his family was at his side.

He was the beloved husband of Harriet E. (Dalton) Dunklee.

Born in East Providence RI, he was a long time resident of Brockton Massachusetts  and Kingston Massachusetts.  A graduate of the Brockton High School Class of 1958 he was the owner/operator of Dan's Shell in Brockton Massachusetts and later worked for the George Knight Company of Brockton for many years.

Following his retirement to Kingston he enjoyed striped bass fishing, clamming and gardening. He was also an avid sports fan. 

He is survived by son Donald E. Dunklee and his wife Pina (Scuderi) Dunklee of West Bridgewater Massachusetts. Daughter Janet Dunklee of New Hampshire, and daughter Anne Benson of Portsmouth RI. Grandson Dylan E. Dunklee of West Bridgewater, Massachusetts and sister Ruth (Dunklee) Taylor of Destin, FL.  Also nephews Samuel and Stewart Taylor of Florida and Christopher Cormier of New York.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, from 1-3:00 with a memorial service set to begin at 2:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the cancer charity of your choice.
