Obituary of Robert Roy

Robert Roy, 94, of Pembroke, died December 19th 2018 at the Pat Roche Hospice House In Hingham. He was born in Wellsboro, PA. He graduated from Mt Herman School and  Harvard University. Son of the late Robert and Lydia Keyes Roy. 

He was pre-deceased by his wife of 59 years Patricia MacCarthy Roy and daughter the late Marilyn Roy Meyer DiGiovanni. He is survived by his son Robert and his wife Diane Lincoln Roy of Scituate. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Jessica Meyer Little, Hilary Meyer, Nicholas DiGiovanni, Damien DiGiovanni, Elizabeth Roy and Abigail Roy also eight great grandchildren. He leaves a sister Anne Roy Healy of California and the late Constance Roy Pynn. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII aboard the USS Enterprise (CV-6) in Night Torpedo Squadron 90, flying TBM Avengers. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal for his actions in the Pacific.  He was a manufacturer's representative founding ROBROY/Scientific. 

A Service will be held Saturday, December 29, at 11:00am at the First Church of Pembroke, Pembroke, MA.
