Eunice was our neighbor for 18 years. She was a Renaissance woman and we never knew until now how incredibly remarkable she was. Eunice was blessed with children that put their lives and families on hold to be there with her, at her home, so she could die as she lived, with dignity and grace. It is a great loss. We will miss her terribly.

My condolences to the family of Eunice and her former husband Walid. I was a fellow graduate student with them in the mid and late 1960's at BUSM and remember them both fondly. Eunice was an excellent teacher and I am sure that the many students she encountered during what appears to have been a long, illustrious career would eagerly agree. Again, my condolences to the family. Joseph P. Rogan, Ph.D, M.D..

I met Eunice 25 years ago. I was new to the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Eunice was my idle. Not only was she smart . She was a classy lady. She had her own boat and knew everything about it's engine. She was happy to help anyone. She hosted dinner parties to welcome new members or hold training sessions. I learned so much from her. Eunice I will never forget you. I am so sorry you have left us. Your children and grandchildren meant the world to you. May you rest in peace knowing you were loved.

Eunice was a wonderful Auxiliary member that we all benefited from knowing. Teacher, leader, advisor, team member, Eunice was always there helping us perform our duties. Having a nice sense of humor you could see her smile after a interesting remark. We in 12-8 will miss her greatly.

I am so sorry for your loss. Eunice was such a wonderful person.
I have worked with Eunice for the last 12 years in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She was my Information Services Officer for Division 12 and did a wonderful job. Leave it to Eunice to have great attention to detail and great persistence in getting Auxiliarists to report their time properly- and do it with a firm voice and a smile. I am going to miss her terribly.

Please accept my deepest condolences and sympathies. I was shocked at hearing of Eunice's passing. I had just emailed her a few weeks ago prior to her leaving the hospital and on her way to rehab. I had offered to drive her to dialysis should she need help.
I met Eunice when I joined the Auxiliary in 2003. I recall her being District Captain and was fortunate enough to go out on her boat "Eunique" many times as I worked through my crew qualification. Her ability to teach and coach led me through the training. Through the years Eunice was always there to offer help and guidance and her wisdom and knowledge were unparalleled. When I became Division Commander, Eunice was there as one of my staff officers and always offered wise insight and suggestions.
As our Information Systems Staff Officer I communicated with her monthly and we always shared a fond note. We always shared likes on Facebook.
I can't express how saddened I am by her loss. She was a wonderful woman and I always looked to her for a friendly smile and hello. Truly heartbroken.
Please know she will always be in my thoughts.

I knew and instantly liked Eunice since I joined the US Coast Guard Auxiliary in 2000, and worked together in the public Education area. She was always polite but direct, highly intelligent and very charming besides in all our relationships--business and social. Many, many of us here in SE MA will miss her greatly, so please accept my condolences and know Eunice had a lot of great legacies here in the USCG.
Personally, I am in the Aviation program, being an Aircraft Commander, Flight Examiner and the District Flight Safety officer in the First DIstrict (N).
Very best regards to all her family, Steve

Alia and Noah -
We are so sorry for your loss (especially on Christmas Day). Your mom was such a tough woman it’s hard to believe that she has passed. Her obituary was beautifully written and a tribute documenting a well-lived life so full of accomplishments. She was a wonderful woman and a fantastic neighbor - this spring will not be the same without her presence out in the backyard.
Please relay our condolences and prayers to the rest of your family. In the meantime, if there is anything you need please do not hesitate to call on us.

It is with a heavy heart to hear of Eunice's passing. Her star shines bright as she was a leader and mentor to just about everyone who joined the Auxiliary in Division XII over the years and as she advanced into the ranks to Rear Commodore North D1NR. I will be pleased to make a donation in her honor to the CG Mutual Assistance it is most appropriate as she always gave of her time freely to others.
With deepest sympathy.

Eunice was not only a dear friend, but a mentor to many of us in the USCGAUX. Eunice was an integral part of USCGAUX 1NR Division 12 and was a godsend to many of us.
I am the Immediate Past Commander of Division 12 and all I can say is that she made me shine as a Commander with her knowledge or USCGAUX operations and her willingness to make sure I was steering on the right course in my duties.
Eunice was always there for us to be the best we could be in our positions.
She will be missed terribly by all of us.

I am so very sorry to hear about Eunice. What a sweet, gentle soul. I helped Eunice train her black lab Zeus many years ago. I don't know what is going to happen for Zeus now. Although I live in Florida now I do have a handful of contacts in Massachusetts if you need help with him. Oh, this is such sad news. Condolences to you and your family.

I am in total shock to read this obituary on my dear friend Eunice. We have been friends for 67 years. I have been in constant contact with Eunice especially during the past year since I was diagnosed with cancer. She has been most supportive of me and helped me through so many difficult days. My heart goes out to her son , daughter and grandchildren who she spoke of so often.. Eunice was an exceptionally generous person always offering to help me out during my travels back and forth to Massachusetts for surgeries. I would never accept anything from her. How she loved animals and made them a big part of her life. I loved following her family on Facebook. I will miss her so much and I will pray for her family. May God bless all of you. I love you, Eunice Bloomquist
