Obituary of Stephen M. McCormick

Stephen “Steve” Michael McCormick, 56, April 8th, 1963 to January 11th, 2019, of Carver, passed away on January 11, 2019, Stephen valiantly bowed out from his battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. He fought with grace and dignity for 2 years and 5 months, not willing to give up for one second. Stephen, best known as “Steve” by those he shared his love and life with, always had a sarcastic joke or punny anecdote to share, he loved to laugh and lift the spirits of those in his company. His favorite color is orange, Go Tennessee Vols! Steve was a proud member of the South Carver Lions Club as well as the Knights of Columbus. He was a man of many hats, but his favorite title was “Pop-pop”, dubbed by his granddaughters. 

Steve is now guardian angel to his loving soulmate of 16 years, Pauline McCormick, their two daughters, Leah Boneski and her husband Mark Boneski, Toni Mitchell and her husband Christopher Mitchell, and his cherished granddaughters, Olivia and Natalie. Steve also watches over siblings Henry “Hank” McCormick and his wife Joyce, Kenneth “Kenny” McCormick and his wife Kimberly, Elena (McCormick) Aretino; and many nieces and nephews. Stephen also leaves behind many beloved friends and extended family. Steve was greeted in Heaven by his father, Henry McCormick, and his mother, Roxanna “Roxy” McCormick. 

Family, friends and loved ones are invited to attend services and share their wonderful memories at Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Carver MA 02330 on Friday, January 18th, 2019 at 11:00 am.
