Obituary of Charles W. Atwood

Charles W. Atwood, 91, passed away on January 23, 2019. Loving husband of the late Betty Atwood. Born in 1928 to his parents, Loring and Mary Atwood. Loving father of daughter Donna and three step Children. Charles was pre deceased in death by his siblings Mary, Alfred and Ruth. He also leaves behind his loving nieces Marianne Prescott and Carol Smith and his very close friend for many years, Elyese Lyon. 
Charles was a proud member of the United States Navy , serving in WWII. He was affiliated with the Dorchester VFW and the Plymouth American Legion where he met many lifelong friends. Charles was also a devoted member of the Council on Aging. He was an avid domino player and was a long time resident of South Meadow Village in Carver. 
Visiting Hours will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Carver on Monday, January 28, from 9:00 to 11:00AM. A Prayer Service will be held at the Shepherd Funeral home at 11:00AM. Interment will directly follow at the Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth.
