Obituary of Kevin M. McCaffrey

Kevin  M. McCaffrey, 60, beloved husband of Susan E. (Bartlett) of Wareham passed away after a lengthy illness on July 19, 2019. Born August 6 1958 in Weymouth Massachusetts he was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Yannizzi) McCaffrey. Kevin attended Weymouth North High School and graduated in 1977. He worked in the fire alarm business for over 20 years until he suffered from a stroke in 2004.  Kevin loved his dog Sammy who was his constant companion and loved spending time with his family and friends.. He enjoyed Christmas gatherings with his sister, brother in law niece and nephews and especially loved his sister's homemade lasagne and italian foods. He loved his Boston Sports teams but his passion was for the New England Patriots. Whenever the Patriots were playing Kevin could not be bothered. Kevin was kind thoughful caring and loved to make you laugh.  He had a big heart and was loved by all who knew him.  Kevin is survived by his wife Susan of 37 years. Kevin and Susan were inseparable and you could see the love they shared.He is survived by his sisters and brothers Betty Jane and her husband Stanley Wojnowski of New Hampshire, Josephine McCaffrey of Weymouth, Kathy and her husband Dennis Benton of Carver, Joseph and his wife Judy of Weymouth,  Margaret Smith of Missouri, Edward and his wife Lynn of New Hampshire. He is predeceased by his brothers Phillip and Francis and sister Vickie Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association. 

Memorial Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, July 26, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 116 Main St, Carver from 10-11AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Carver at 11:00AM.
