Fr. Joe was an inspiring SVD confrere, and a holy priest with a big heart. He was a former missionary to Ghana, Africa and Vice General of the Society of the Divine Word (SVD). We celebrated mass together, shared meals together, and exchanged light conversations about Boston culture and sports, as well as deeply spiritual matters. Indeed, I was blessed to have lived with him in a very supportive community along with Fr. Don Mulrenan at Beacon St before he moved to Miramar. I have offered mass for him and his loved ones, trusting that with Mary, Fr. Joe is now in the loving embrace of the Triune God.
