Carolyn M. Fulmine

1965-2019

There is a precious moment in the early mornings when the pastel pinks & oranges meet the sky. We believe it was at that specific time that God created our mother.

Adored wife, mother, world’s greatest nonnie, daughter, sister, cousin and friend passed away peacefully on September 17th 2019 after an eighteen-month courageous battle with lung cancer at the young age of 54 surrounded by her family.

Born on June 6th 1965 to Herman and Carol (Ford) Dickey in South Boston, Mass. Carol grew up mainly in South Boston and moved to Pembroke in 1990.

Carol and her family enjoyed vacationing in Maine every year where they would have a huge family reunion. Family meant everything to her and you did not have to be related to be a part of hers. There are few people in life that have such a profound effect on so many and are able to make them feel so loved and so important. Carol was one of those people.

She was that rare human being who cared so deeply about making a positive impact on someone and touching others hearts. She was truly selfless in that way and was just as humble. She just wanted to put a smile on someone’s face, make them feel loved, give her beautiful grandchildren a hug. She always rooted for the underdog and saw the best in everyone even when nobody else did. She believed that everyone had good in them and could do better if they just had someone there to show them and love them. Throughout her life she put a roof over so many peoples head to try and give them a chance to do better or just a place to stay until they could get back on their feet. Her heart was so big!

She had seven beautiful grandchildren who adored her. She made sure they each knew how special they were and how they were capable of doing anything in life that they wanted. She had four daughters who she raised with strength matched by none and a bond so close they were more like best friends. She was married to the love of her life Gene (beanie) for 27 beautiful years. Her favorite time was being home with her family and “tuning out” to her favorite music. She will be painfully missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Carol Fulmine was predeceased by her parents, Herman and Carol Dickey, brother James (Jimbo) Dickey and her step-mother Karen Soiett and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband Eugene B. Fulmine, Jr. Her four daughters Courtney and Nicole Keller, and Jessica and Taela Fulmine. Her seven grandchildren Jaydence, Matthew, Amiyah, Mariah, Gavanni, Khayden, and her “miracle baby” Kyree. Her special niece Kristi Dickey and her “nephew-son” James Dickey and her extra grand children Joshua, Reece, James and Brayden.

She is also survived by her brother Thomas Dickey and his wife Wendi and their two sons Noah and Dillian of Laconia NH. Her stepsister and stepbrothers; Paula Byrnes of Cushing ME, Brian Soiett of Cushing ME, Robert Soiett of Waldoboro, ME and Lt. Col. Stephen Byrnes of Newport, NC. She is survived by her in laws; Eugene Fulmine Sr. and Carol Fulmine of Pembroke, brother in law Michael Fulmine of Pembroke, Steven Fulmine and his wife Carla of Carver. Her very best friend and cousin Susan Roche of Pembroke and her husband Thomas Roche and many special cousins,

A Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in Hanson MA on October 12th at 9 am and a celebration of her life will be held after at the Hanson AA at 12:00. Should family and friends so desire, in lieu of flowers to donated in Mrs. Carolyn Fulmines memory may be made to Dana Faber cancer institute or your favorite charity.
