Alfred Lee Kantor, “Jim”, 77, passed away at his home in Pembroke, MA surrounded by his loving family on Friday, October 11, 2019. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Elizabeth S. Kantor, “Betsy”.
Jim was born in Meadville, PA and grew up in the Bridgeport, CT area. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Era and worked as a toolsetter in Shelton, CT. He was an avid science fiction reader and confirmed Trekkie. He also took an interest in auto mechanics, antique cars and trains. He shared playful growls with his favorite canine buddy, Richard.
Survivors include his daughter, Jill K. Arsenault, her husband, John J. Arsenault, their children, Adam and Nina Arsenault, and his great grandson, Vash Alexander Evans. He is survived by his son James Kantor-Vera and his husband Antoine Kantor-Vera. He is also survived by his brother Gaza Kantor, his wife Linda Kantor, his sister Donna Sulik and her husband Edward Sulik, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family plans a private celebration of his life.
