Marion (Braun) Opachinski, 92 of Kingston, passed away at home on Thursday December 19,2019.
Born in Millis, MA, she was the daughter of Joseph and Georgia Braun of Medway, MA.
Marion was a graduate of Boston University and a former teacher and head of the science and math departments in the Kingston school system.
Marion survived tuberculosis as a teenager and went on to enjoy a long, happy, and healthy life.
She was an accomplished organist in her younger years and even formed her own orchestra. She enjoyed boating, sailing, skiing, tennis, photography, traveling the world, and spending time with her family and beloved pets.
Loving wife of the late Norman J. Opachinski and mother of Peter (Andrea), Jeffrey (Holly), Robin ( Robert Squires) all of Kingston, and Michael (Nancy) of Bourne, MA. Proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Marion’s life on Monday, December 23, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St. Kingston at 11:00AM. At the request of Marion and her family, there will be a private burial at the Evergreen Cemetery in Kingston.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society or the MSPCA.
