Don & Laurie,
Your Dad was a very important part of my life as a young man. He was my music teacher and I took lessons first at Holbrook high school and then private lessons at home. I remember the Weymouth High school days, marching band, concert band and jazz band. We actually played at the Surf Nantasket. He helped Kay and I buy our first house in Pembroke (1984), when he was working for Jack Conway. Also, Frank, my Father (Ken) and my Uncle (Robert) played music together for many years in the 40's through the 70's.
He was class act in every way. I don't think I ever saw him without a tie and jacket on. Unless he was working out in the yard.
We are truly sorry for your loss and he is in our prayers !

Thank you, Frank, for all the loving work put into the beautiful flowers on my wife Karen's grave at Mayflower these last few years. It was an honor to know you! I wish I had known you far longer. God Bless you, and thank you. Todd Grisdale

Mr. Buckley was an amazing trumpet player who preferred teaching over performing. Lucky for me.
He gave me A LOT OF free teaching time (I didn’t realize it then; I play tuba) and stood up for me, to practice in the band room during free periods. He saw something. Because of him, I attended B.U. & New England Conservatory of Music (where trumpet students had heard of him), each on scholarship, spent 3 summers at Tanglewood, subbed with both the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops, won an international tuba solo competition and served a solo tuba in 3 major symphony orchestras over 42 years. I’m now comfortably retired in Vancouver, Canada.
THIS WAS/IS 100% BECAUSE OF MR. BUCKLEY. THANK YOU!!!
You can see, in these condolences, he touched many lives profoundly. I'm honored and grateful to be one of them. Happily, we exchanged letters a couple of years ago. Mr. Frank Buckley was a gentleman, a role model and a talent who chose sharing his talent with young students. Lucky for me!! Rest In Peace.

We have many happy memories of time spent with your dad visiting in Weymouth. He was a great man and actually came to visit me in Randolph not too long ago. I am so sorry for your loss. Sending love to the whole family.

As a member of the Holbrook High School band in the late sixties Mr.Buckley was our bandmaster. He was a wonderful teacher and leader and inspired a fabulous band with his kindness and skills. I have very fond memories of him and his gentle ways. So happy to know he lived a long and happy life.

We loved Frank. He and Joan were the sweetest neighbors ever. We loved the time we spent with them both. Frank gave our boys the best gifts. We adopted our dog (pug in picture) Champ from him 10 years ago and he is doing great at 12 years old. Frank was a very special person. Everyone who knew himloved him. What a blessing it was to have met him. Rest In Peace Frank.
