Obituary of Marcus James Borsari

Please share a memory of Marcus James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Marcus James Borsari, age 37, announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, in Wareham, in Christ’s loving arms.

Marcus was born in Plymouth Massachusetts, and raised in Plympton. Marcus’s parents and grandparents provided him with a loving and wonderful childhood. He enjoyed swimming, dirt-biking, hunting, careening around the corral in his go kart, and many more reckless hobbies. In addition to his siblings, Marcus was fortunate enough to grow up surrounded by cousins that were much more than just that. He loved his family pets, especially his dog Vixen. He attended Silver Lake Regional Schools, and worked in many facets of construction over the years.

Marcus was a proud American, and child of God, who grew to have a gentle soul. As a fervid outdoorsman he loved camping, hunting, boating, and fishing. He was a natural athlete, with a rocket ship throwing arm, and excelled in baseball. Marcus had a passion for history and current events, and could rattle off facts regarding such without hesitation. The fact that he had an unending collection of National Geographic, and watched the History Channel’s “Weapons At War” at maximum volume, may have played a part in that. Marcus was often listening to music with Hendrix and Pantera topping his list. Whether it was asked for, or not, his lyrical interpretation was a sure thing. He found pleasure in the simple things, and was not burdened by the complexities of modern day life. And…boy, did he love to eat. Those that knew Marcus understood that he followed a slightly different orbit than the rest of society, and was quite unique in the truest sense of the word.  Lastly, where he found great joy was in time spent with his cousin and best friend Keenan.

Marcus is survived by his mother Nan Borsari (Ormsbee) of Plympton, and her partner Derek Gunn; father Ret. Fire Chief Warren J. Borsari of Kingston, and his fiancee Anne Marie Mullaney; sister Julianne Borsari of Providence RI., and her boyfriend Alias Imondi; brothers Jacob Hochstrasser and Samuel Borsari of Newport VT.; grandmother Jacqueline Freitas of Plympton; grandfather Edwin L. Borsari of Kingston; grandfather Robert Ormsbee of Boston; uncle Wayne Ormsbee of Plympton, and his wife Delores; uncle Marc Ormsbee of Byram NJ., and his wife Rebecca; uncle Gregory Borsari of Plymouth, and his wife Wendy; uncle Matthew Borsari of Lakeville and his wife Nancy; cousin Kevin Ormsbee of Mashpee and his girlfriend Jessica Albaugh; cousin Kassianna Ormsbee-Pelletier of Sagamore, and her husband Robert; cousin Keenan Ormsbee of Wareham and his wife Tara; cousin Keisha Kerr (Ormsbee) of Guam and her husband Daniel; cousin Austin Ormsbee of Byram NJ.; cousin Connor Borsari of Plymouth; Cousin Ethan Borsari of Lakeville; cousin Ashlan Borsari of Plymouth; sister in Christ Sheena Amaral of Wareham and her husband Jared; and many more beloved family members and friends.

Marcus was predeceased by his grandmother Ann M. Borsari (Shilling) of Kingston; grandfather Joseph Freitas of Plympton; and childhood friend Steven McMorrow of Plympton.

Although Marcus has departed this world, he has surely left his mark on us all. We will hold his memory close, and his spirit will live on indefinitely.
