I met Esther when I joined First Church in Pembroke. Always a smiling face and a hand out to hold. We spent many hours peeling apples and preparing dinners at the church along with good advice and a laugh. She will be missed by many - she touched our hands hearts . There was so much to love about this wonderful lady. She was like the neighborhood "Mom", the heart of the neighborhood. I had known her ever since I was 6 years old. She always had a kind word, a great story, and a happy, smile to offer everyone. She and my late mother shared many a cup of coffee together throughout the years at our house across the street.
