Obituary of Alice Silva

 Alice (Furtado) Silva  passed away on April 19, 2021. Born in Plymouth, Ma in 1923, she spent her whole life in Plymouth.       

    Loving daughter of the late Antone and Maria (Pimental) Furtado.                          

    Loved wife of the late Frank Silva and mother of Steven (Elaine) Silva of Plymouth, Richard Silva of Carver, Laurian (the late Robert) Trepanier of Plymouth, Susan Silva of Plymouth, Marie (Glen) Cabral of Plymouth and Jeffrey Chandler, father of Beth Smoller. 

     Much loved grandmother to Steven (Stacy) Silva of Marshfield, Michelle (Rodney Bourne II) Silva of Carver, Susanne Trepanier of Plymouth, Robert (Linda LaBlanc) Trepanier of Plymouth, Stacy Cabral of Carver, Randy (Kristina) Cabral of Kingston, Antonette Cabral of Plymouth, Beth (Jarod) Smoller of Halifax, Cheryl Silva of Carver and Bridget Silva of Carver.

     Loving great grandmother  to Logan and Riley Pylant of Plymouth, Paige Trepanier of Sandwich, Aiden Ford of Carver, Jaxson Smoller of Halifax, Henry and Oliver Cabral of Kingston and  Brady and Caleb LaBlanc of Plymouth. 

     She is survived by her sister Edvege (Ronald) Costa of Plymouth. And predeceased  by her sisters and brothers Anna Travers, Carmen (Mary) Furtado, Evangline Darsch, Evelyn Furtado who passed away as a child, Antonio Furtado who also passed away as a child , all of Plymouth and Manuel Furtado of Kingston. 

     Cousin of the late John Pimental of Arizona . She leaves behind many loved and cherished nieces and nephews, especially dear to her were Betty, Eleanor and Evie.                            

     We would like to thank  Dr. Groll for her kindness and understanding of our mother’s needs on all of her visits. We would also like to thank Cranberry Hospice for all they did for our mother during this difficult time and a special thank you to Lisa, Rachelle and Julie of Cranberry Hospice for showing our mother such kindness and compassion.

There will be a gathering for friends and family on Tuesday, May 4th, at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106) from 4-5:00 PM 

In lieu of flowers, Alice’s family suggests donations in her memory be made to to Cranberry Hospice.                      

Service and burial to be held at later date.
