Obituary of Leslie (Bob) G. Lewis Jr.

Leslie (Bob) G. Lewis, Jr. of Wellfleet, formerly of Braintree, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on November 2.  He was the loving husband of the late Ruth (Fletcher) Lewis.  He leaveshis two children, Joan Bryant, and her husband Dennis, of Harwich, and David Lewis, and his wife Michele, of Pembroke.  He was the loving grandfather of six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  He was pre-deceased by his brothers, Richard Lewis and Robert Lewis.  He is survived by siblings Ellsworth Lewis, Eleanor Lucier, Sandra Simmons, Wayne Lewis, Linda Benjamin and Kenneth Lewis.

Leslie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Weymouth for fifty years.  There was nothing he enjoyed mora than being on his boat, “Ruthless”, fishing with his wife.  He also enjoyed hunting and gardening.  He was a very creative man who loved building things.  He even helped build his own home.  He could always be counted on to give good advice.  He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held November 27th at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, Kingston, MA 02364.  A time of visitation will begin at 2:00 pm with a service to follow at 3:00 pm.
