Obituary of Rita Rose

Rita (George) Rose, age 92, of Kingston, passed away peacefully on November 28th, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late George William Rose, Sr. 

Born in 1929, her parents were the late Antosie and Anthony George. She was the loving mother of Marie Blanchette and her late husband Kenny Blanchette, George William Rose and his wife Mary Beth Rose, Loretta Rose and her former husband Joseph Smolic, and the late Peter Rose.

She was the loving grandmother of Joshua Smolic and his wife Olya Margul, Lucas Smolic, Marcus Fredrick-Rose and his husband Charlie Frederick-Rose, and Lauren Rose.

Survived by sisters: Lillian Esielionis, Eleanor Botelho, Anne Richardson, Carol Crossman, and brothers: Robert George, Paul George and John George. Also preceded in death by sisters Florence Blamy, Dorothy McGowan, Marie Clough and Edna Norton and brother Anthony George.

She was the loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She treasured time with her family. She was dedicated to her faith, enjoyed painting, cooking and listening to music.

To celebrate her life, please join the family on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Shepardʻs Funeral Home, 216 Main Street Kingston, MA from 9:00 to 10:45 followed by a funeral Mass at St. Josephʻs Parish, 272 Main Street Kingston MA at 11:00
