Deborah (Deb) M. Atwood 74 of Carver, MA passed away December 6, 2021 at Wingate Healthcare in Kingston, MA.

Deb was born in Brockton, MA on October 16, 1947, the daughter of the late Horace & Alice (Geddes) Atwood of Hanson, MA.

After graduating as Salutatorian from Whitman-Hanson Regional High School in 1965, Deb immediately began her career with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She retired as an Executive Assistant on December 31, 2014 after 50 years of employment.

She was an avid lover of word search puzzles, Tweety Bird, and all things soft and fuzzy.

Deb was also a tenured active member of Pomona District Grange, Hanson Grange #209, and Easton Grange #196, serving as secretary and treasurer.

Deb is survived by her sister Dinah (Atwood) Oicles and Bill Oicles of Carver, MA ; brother David and Norma Atwood of South Yarmouth, MA; her nephews Jay & Chelsea Oicles of South Carver, MA, and Steve Oicles of Rochester, NH; her nieces Kim (Atwood) Anderson & Mike of Livonia, MI; Karen (Atwood) Whisler of Dearborn Heights, MI; Karla Atwood of Seabrook, TX; her lifelong friend Jean (Brady) Hatch of Bridgewater, MA as well as numerous grand-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services to be held at Fern Hill Cemetery in Hanson for family & close friends on Wednesday 12/15/2021 @ 11:00 AM.
