Obituary of Mary J. DeGrasse
Please share a memory of Mary J. to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Mary J. DeGrasse, of South Meadow Village, Carver passed away peacefully on December 17, surrounded by her family. She had celebrated her 91st birthday last November.
She leaves her husband, George of 68 years and three sons, Steven and his wife Jodie, Thomas and his wife Elaine and Richard. She also leaves seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She graduated from Haverhill High School and moved to Boston to further her education. She attended North Eastern University and worked as a dental nurse for oral surgeons for 30 years.
As I write this, I want all readers to know that to know her was to love her. She was the sweetest, kindest person I have ever known. She always looked for the good in people and usually found it. I am much traveled and have met multitudes of people of all kinds. I have met those who would compare favorably with Mary, but never ever any better.
The three boys and I as well as her friends will miss her deeply. She will leave a space in our hearts that will remain forever. In her passing she will not be alone, for a piece of all of us went with her. If she could read this, her comment would be an embarrassed “Oh Bud”.
Goodbye Mary, mom, we all love you so.
Services for Mary will be Private.
