Sister Myra was my 4th grade teacher. We stayed in touch through music (i was in the grade school choir) through my high school years. She gave me a holy card when I was in the 8th grade. She added a note that said: “David, never be afraid to do the right thing.” I carried that card for a long time, but lost it somewhere along the way. But I always remembered her words, even if I did not always follow them. She was a good woman, a fine woman of God. She looked-out for me. Even though I have not seen her for over 50 years, I am sad she has left us.
