Obituary of Sheila Moneghan

Sheila Moneghan, 80, of Duxbury, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2022. She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Moneghan and his wife Pam, Kelly Ann Moneghan, Teddy Moneghan and his wife Cheryl and Anne Antonellis and her husband Steven. She was the devoted grandmother of Daniel Moneghan and his wife Claire, Matthew Moneghan, the late Steven Laramee, Eoin Laramee, Chrissy Resendes and her husband Brian, Danielle Antonellis, Cassie Jordan, Zach Jordan and Jake Jordan. She was also the great grandmother of Charlotte Resendes and Zoe Resendes. She also leaves behind her sister Midge Leon and many nieces and nephews.
Sheila was an unbelievable baker and cook. She loved collecting cook books and sharing recipes with her family. She enjoyed red wine and sweets. Sheila loved to travel, she often reminisced about her trip to Italy and Ireland. She had many talents, including making stained glass. She loved to read, dance and was very proud of becoming a hairdresser. She also loved clothing and fashion. Sheila was known for putting others needs before her own. Her family was her pride and joy. Sheila always said that she will “keep dancing forever”. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 11th at Holy Family Church in Duxbury at 10:00AM. Interment will directly follow at Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury. In lieu of flowers, donation in her name can be made to the Susan G. Komen foundation.
