I met Elsie on a trip in 1995 - The Hiden Faces of Mongolia and Tibet. She and a few others became my pals for the duration - we love exploring and sharing stories together. Some time after that trip, along with Mimi O'Hagan, we went to Karme Cholong in VT for a silent meditation weekend. Elsie took me to meet her neighbor, Anne M. Lindbergh, who lived nearby. She sent wonderful photos as Christmas cards. She was one of the most memorable people I've ever met - warm, wise, witty, funny, loving, curious and wonderful energy.
