Donna Lee Salsman,80, of Duxbury passed away peacefully at home on Thursday March 23. Donna the loving wife of the late William H Salsman also of Duxbury is survived by her son Michael Hynes of Philadelphia and daughter Heather Crossland, son in law Gregory their children: Owen,Dylan and Emerson of Duxbury. She is also survived by her loving sister Judy Hickie (husband Thomas) of Marshfield, brother in law David Dobson of Marshfield and many nieces, nephew’s, cousins and friends.
Born the second of four daughters to Peter S. And Margaret E. Hynes of Marshfield on January 19, 1943. Donna Graduated from Marshfield High School in 1961. She married the love of her life “Bill” on June 10, 1972. Donna enjoyed a long career and my friendships at Blue Cross and Blue Shield as an enrollment processor for 32 years, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed bowling, eating out, all of her family’s sporting events and gatherings. Family was the most important aspect of life for Donna. She could always be found on the sidelines cheering on her nieces, nephews, their kids and her grandkids. Donna was strong in her faith and attended First Baptist Church Duxbury.
Calling hours for Donna will be held on Wednesday, March 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston. A church service will be held at the First Baptist Church Duxbury, 2 Tremont St. At 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5th. Donna will be joining William at Bourne National Cemetery, a short service will held on April 5th.
