Obituary of Kristine Sue Kelley Page
Kristine Sue Kelley Page, 65 of Kingston, MA died at home with her family on April 7 after a long, difficult battle with lung cancer.
Born in Boston and raised in Hanover, MA and McLean, VA, she graduated from Hanover High School in 1975 before earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1980 and a law degree from Suffolk University School of Law in 1984.
Kris practiced real estate law in Massachusetts for forty years. She worked incredibly hard, putting in a full day at the Registry of Deeds and the law offices she worked for before coming home to her family and logging more hours while the West Wing, 24, Red Sox, NCIS, Jon Stewart, or David Letterman played on the television.
In 1977, she met her husband, Eddie, at Scott’s convenience store in Hanover. They began dating in 1979 before marrying in Carson City, Nevada in 1988. Kris was drawn to the subtle and natural beauty of the places they visited together, be it Reno, Nantucket, or Lake George. She loved days at the beach in Duxbury and drives with Eddie along the New England coast, whether it was for lunch in Scituate or coffee and pastries in Tiverton.
Kris’ work ethic and dedication did not stop in real estate law. She was a loving and caring mother to her son Martin, whom she always reminded to drive safely, get to sleep, and not “overdo it.” She always looked out for Eddie, whether it was after surgery or a long day of work. Martin and Eddie poked fun at how much she worried about them, but she worried because she loved both of them so much.
Growing up, Kris and her family spent their summers on Nantucket, which spurred a lifelong love of the ocean. Her mother, Sue Kelley, frequently told Kris and her sisters, “You kids go to the beach!” In the summer of 2022, she joined her sisters and son, Martin, for a final trip to Nantucket, where she swam and walked around Wauwinet.
In 2003, Kris, Eddie, and Martin began attending services at First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Kingston. At Church, Kris and her family found a community they cared for deeply. Kris served on the Church’s Worship Committee for years and remained committed to supporting the community she loved so much.
Kris is survived by her husband Eddie Page of Kingston, MA, her son Martin Page of Miami, FL, sisters Kate Goelz of Alexandria, VA, Karen Kelley of Newburyport, MA, and Karla Kelley of Stoughton, MA, brother Ken Kelley of Nantucket, MA, nieces Hannah and Ellie Goelz of Alexandria, VA, and step-daughters Jennifer Mullen of Sandwich, MA, Amy Perry of Wellington, FL, and Veronica Page of Anchorage, AK.
A private, family service will be held at a later date at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Kingston’s minister’s discretionary fund at kingstonuu.org and choose "Give To Plate".
In Loving Memory
Kristine Page
