Obituary of Patricia L. Harlfinger

Patricia Louise Harlfinger, Age 83, of Plympton passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 23, 2023. Pat was born in Boston, MA to Harold G. Peterson and Louise (Wilson) Peterson on June 2, 1940.  

She met her future husband, Dick while in high school. After beginning their lives in Dedham, they purchased a small farm and moved to Plympton, MA in 1976. She worked hard raising her four boys, and building a new life on the farm and integrating into what was then a small community . Her passion and hard work saw to the evolution of the Harlfinger Farm and Rabbitry grow into the Sunrise Gardens Farmstand. Not one to stand still – Pat always had a project or task.  She was a member of the Plympton Congregational Church and served on the Ladies Sewing Circle for many years. Pat & Dick were avid square dancers. They were associated with numerous clubs and enjoyed annual square dancing retreats. Pat loved participating in Zumba classes (usually multiple times a week) with her partner in crime, lifelong friend Patricia Leslie.

Patricia, is survived by her son Richard L. Harlfinger III of Carlisle, PA, her son Mark Harlfinger and wife Okju of Okpun, South Korea, her son Keith Harlfinger & Keelin Smith of Plympton, MA,  and son Scott Harlfinger of Middleboro, MA.  She was predeceased by her infant son, Todd.  Patricia also leaves behind her sister, Shirley Bruno. Her brother in law, James Harlfinger and wife Diana of Mattapoisett, MA.  Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services by Shepherd Funeral Home, Kingston, MA will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Main Street, Plympton MA 02367 at 11:00 am on Monday, October 30th.
