Jennifer Day Gustavson Rose, 57, of Duxbury, MA, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of December 16, 2023, surrounded by her husband and daughters at their home in Duxbury.

Born December 3, 1966, in Boston, MA, Jennifer had just celebrated her 57th birthday two weeks prior. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. and Ann Gustavson. She attended St. Andrew’s School in Middletown, DE; the Winsor School in Boston; and Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, VA. For over 20 years, Jennifer worked in print production at Analog Devices. She was involved in The Vincent Club, performing for many years in their annual show which raised funds for the Vincent Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the National Society of Colonial Dames of America and an enthusiastic gardener; she loved animals and enjoyed walking on Duxbury beach; and she was an avid reader. Above all, Jennifer was a devoted and dedicated mother. She loved to ski, and her favorite travel destination was France where she honeymooned and toured on three other occasions.

Jennifer was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Richard T. Gustavson. She is survived by her husband, Douglas D. Rose, and her daughters, Madeleine and Samantha, of Duxbury.

A memorial service will be held at St. John the Evangelist in Duxbury at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday December 28, 2023.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist, P.O. Box 2893, Duxbury, MA 02331 (memo line: Rector’s Discretionary Fund) or to Beacon Hospice Care 32 Resnik Road Plymouth, MA 02360.
