Obituary of Jane F. Andrews
Jane F. Andrews, 82, of Plympton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2024, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Wellesley, Massachusetts with family by her side before her passing.
A Catholic funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church in Kingston, Massachusetts on Friday, January 19th at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in a private ceremony at St. Joseph’s cemetery.
Jane was a devoted homemaker and loving mother. She was a hardworking woman, working as a waitress at McGrath’s Restaurant on the waterfront in Plymouth and shucking lobsters at the Lobster Pound in Manomet, and always managed to make ends meet for her family. Jane was a colorful character full of life and always seeking to make others happy, often at the expense of her own. Her laugh was infectious, and her glow lit up the room.
Jane was born in Boston, Massachusetts to Mary (Kelley) and William Olson on December 26, 1941. Jane grew up in Roslindale and after graduating high school married her beloved husband Steve, later settling in Kingston, Massachusetts to raise their six children. She is survived by her son Stephen, daughter Paula, son Thomas, daughter Barbara, son James, twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving sister Stephanie, brothers Jerry and Dennis, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Stephen, father William, mother Mary, granddaughter Shannon, son Michael, sister Barbara, and brother Steven.
She will be dearly missed by her family.
