Obituary of Jean E. Cochrane
Kingston, MA ---- Jean E (Bellino) Cochrane, 93, of Kingston, MA formerly of Brockton, died peacefully Saturday January 20, 2024, at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham MA in the company of her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 34 years Peter Cochrane of Kingston. She was also the wife of the late Andrew J Parsons of Brockton.
Born in Boston on June 28, 1930, and daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Amaru) Bellino, she was raised in Dorchester and graduated in 1947 from the Girls High School in Boston. Jean had several jobs while raising her family. Most notably she worked for many years in the cafeteria at the Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton where all three of her children graduated. She then moved on to work at the Brockton Hospital in the ICU and CCU for many years as a unit coordinator before retiring. She was a woman of great faith and attended St Joseph’s in Kingston regularly. She was a member of the church’s Rosary group. Jean was a member of the DBE (Daughters of the British Empire) where she met many new friends. She also loved spending time with family and friends. Some of her greatest memories were the trips she and Peter took to the far reaches of the globe.
She leaves behind 3 children, Diane Kenney and her husband Edmund of Holden, MA, LeeAnn Erickson and her husband Ira of Plainville, MA, and Stephen Parsons and his wife Elaine of Peabody MA. Jean also leaves behind 4 stepchildren, Deborah Wagner and her husband Peter of Cambridge MA, Sarah Allahverdi and her husband Ali of Natick MA, Ian Cochrane and his wife Jocelyn of Bridgewater MA, Melanie Fallon of Galway Ireland. She was also the sister of the late Arcangelo Bellino, Andrew Bellino, John Bellino, Concetta Howard, Mary Ingemi, Rose Danforth, and Margaret Barker (all deceased). She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild, plus several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours for Jean will be held Friday, January 26th from 8 to 9:30am at the Shepherd Funeral Home in Kingston, A funeral mass will be held at Saint Joseph’s Church on Main St. in Kinston at 10am followed by a burial at the Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
