Obituary of Kathleen M. Groom

Kathleen M (Damon) Groom, 78, a resident of Plymouth, MA has passed away from a long illness on March 19, 2024. Kathleen was preceded in death by her loving husband Lawrence W Groom, her parents Yvonne and Walter Damon and her siblings Cynthia Bates and Richard Damon.

Kathleen is survived by her three children and their spouses - Cali-jo and Barry Thomas of Plymouth, Pamela and David Swanson of Middleboro, Lawrence Groom Jr. of Fall River, her five grandchildren Linsey Thomas and partner (Marlon Dias), Matthew Thomas, Kyle Swanson and his partner (Zachary Goldsmith), Jessica Groom and her partner (Peter Russell) and Alec Groom, her two great grandchildren Carissa Beard and Davian Thomas, as well as many other family members and friends.

Kathleen was born in Brockton on October 16, 1945 and was raised by her parents In East Bridgewater, MA.

Kathleen worked for D'Angelos for a short time and then worked for Pediatric Associates of Brockton Inc., doing clerical work. Kathleen loved to spend all her time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all.

At the request of Kathleen, a private gravesite service will be held for just immediate family only.
