Eleanor and Hardy’s Christmas parties were my tweenager dream. Unlimited food, cousins to mischief with, parents (my father was Hardy’s cousin) too busy chatting to notice me and said cousins mischief, and Ellie always seemed glad to see me. She had that gift of graciousness with all ages. And later in life I could see and learn from her fortitude in times of profound loss. She carried on. I admire her greatly. May she rest in peace.
