We celebrated a funeral mass and the life of my youngest brother, Stephen David Morgan on Spetember 7, 2024 at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Braintree, Massachusetts. This was the ulogy.
At 55, Stephen's time with us was tragically cut short by chronic kidney disease and a sudden heart attack. We thought we’d have more time. While we grieve his loss, we also honor the remarkable person, friend, son, and brother that he was.
Our brother was a large, vibrant soul—a gregarious presence who had a gift for making moments brighter, or at least entertaining. He had a unique ability to turn the mundane into something extraordinary, often with a clever quip or a well-timed joke.
Looking back, I now understand that Stephen’s dark sense of humor was his way of navigating life’s ups and downs. It had to be difficult to be the youngest member of a clan of seven! His humor was often dark, but it was always delivered with a twinkle in his eye, a reminder that laughter can be both a balm and a beacon.
Despite the physical challenges he faced, he rarely let them dim his spirit. He was heavyset in body but lighthearted in demeanor, embodying a fun-loving nature that drew people in. He had an extraordinary ability to turn even the simplest moments into something memorable, often with a sharp joke or a playful comment.
Though Stephen is no longer physically with us, the memories we shared and his ability to bring people together will remain a source of comfort for us. As we say goodbye, let’s resolve to carry his legacy forward by finding humor and lightness in our own daily struggles, just as he did.

I had the pleasure of being Stephans director when he worked security at the Kingston Mall. He was always a gentleman, and there are MANY funny stories to share about his time with us. I sent a message to the old crew and we are all heartbroken at the loss of Stephen. On behalf of the old Security Team at the Kingston Mall, please accept my sincere condolences on his loss!

Gravy you were the life of the party and the life of any event I went to. You had a way of walking into a place and not knowing anyone and lighting up the whole entire room. Your light and humor and laughs will live on forever in my memory. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to meet you Gravy. I wish nothing but my sincere condolences to you and your family and friends and anyone who had the pleasure of getting to know how much of a great guy you truly were. Much love Sarah
