Obituary of Samuel M Bishop
Samuel Matthew Bishop, 50, of Carver Massachusetts, died May 31, 2024. Samuel "Sam" Bishop was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather "Pa", and friend. He passed away unexpectedly after a fatal heart attack, but not before donating organs to help 3 others.
He is survived by his mother Linda Bishop and stepfather Brian Sullivan of Carver, MA, and his father Samuel Childress (spouse Darlene) of Knoxville,TN; his wife Kristy Bishop of Plymouth, MA, six daughter's,Jaime Burgess (spouse Butch) of Plymouth, MA, Linnea Hornung of VA, Holly Bishop of Carver, MA, Karyn Bishop of Carver MA, Bailey Smith of Worcester, MA and Hollie Smith of Plymouth, MA; three grandchildren: Gabriel, Krystle and Octavia Burgess all of Plymouth, MA, three sisters: Amy Whiddon (spouse Tom) of Sandwich, MA, and Jennifer Pratt (Spouse Christopher) of Carver, MA, and Lauren Childress of Knoxville, TN; and many nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Sam was a brilliant man with the biggest heart, always seeing the best in others, and willing to help anyone he could. He loved card games, though poker was his favorite. He also enjoyed cribbage, spades, and rummy. He was a skilled bowler, and enjoyed watching WWE and never missed a Patriots game. He could be seen most at peace and happiest when playing with his grandchildren who loved their Pa dearly. He was always ready to greet everyone with a big welcoming smile and hug, he filled the hearts of those around him. He will be greatly missed by his many family members and friends who loved him dearly.
