Dear Mama,
You've brought such great joy and life into this world. Not only my life, my son's, my daughter's, my sisters, my nephews and my nieces. While you may not be here physically, you are intertwined with our souls and our memories. Yesterday, I was playing drums jamming out to some of our favorite tunes and of course some Bon Jovi. I felt you all around me. I've loved and lost, but losing a loving mother is nothing you can ever prepare for. Her love runs deep and she taught me to do the same. In your actions, in your prayers, and in our memories you've always looked for the love in everything. You'd spend days researching to really get the true meaning behind the media, and the Bible. You've always been a leader. You knew that it isn't your title, job, nor accomplishments that define you. It's the love and compassion you bring. If we just ask ourselves where is the love? We will find it here in this room with all of us, but in truth it's more than that. It's all of us. It's this bond that has been created and nurtured by our family. It truly is God's gift that keeps on giving and keeps on breathing. I ask everyone here to not dwell in sorrow but to search for joy and search for love. What is a mothers true gift? It's life and love. It is unconditional. Take this love that my mom fostered as we leave and have it bring joy into your day-to-day life. We love you mom and we will take you with every step forward.
