Farouk was born in Baabda, Lebanon, to Mohamad Naim and Zainab Sleiman. In his early years, Farouk served with distinction as a Judicial Police Officer in the Lebanese National Police force for seven years. Later, Farouk's entrepreneurial spirit led him to make the courageous decision to leave Lebanon and join his brother in America. In the early 70s, Farouk, also known as Frank, successfully built a financial recovery firm from the ground up, which he owned and operated for 20 years. Despite the challenges and fluctuations inherent in running any good business, he emerged as a well-respected leader in the industry and became a principal advisor to some of the largest credit analysts firms.
Frank was well-known not just for his deep passion for international politics and affairs, but also for turning every conversation into a lively debate on global issues. His vast knowledge made him a go-to expert and a captivating storyteller. When he wasn’t shaping political discourse, he was perfecting his complex mixed drink recipes—because if you’re going to discuss global crises, you might as well do it with a perfectly crafted drink in hand. And let's not forget his beloved cats, who brought endless joy and a touch of chaos to his life, often making surprise cameos during his most serious moments.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His family and friends will honor and remember Frank’s life on Friday, August 2nd, at 11 a.m. at Lakeside Cemetery, Franklin Street, South Braintree, MA 02025.
In Loving Memory
