Obituary of Susan A Beaulieu

Please share a memory of Susan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Susan A. Beaulieu (O’Brien)

Our beautiful Susan peacefully departed to heaven to be with our Lord on Saturday, October 12th following a two and a half year battle with cancer. She was 65 years old. Throughout life and her disease, Susan showed immense strength, courage, and especially devout faith through the good and bad. She was a true disciple of Jesus and emulated Christian values wherever she went and whatever she went through personally. Susan truly touched the lives of more people than we will ever know, with her sole focus to lead people to Christ- and she did just that, time and time again. Susan was a ray of sunshine who brought joy everywhere she went.

Susan was born in Weymouth, MA on August 14, 1959 to her late parents, William and Catherine O’Brien. She lived her early years in Quincy, MA until 1970 before moving to Braintree, MA, where she attended grades 5-12. She was an alumna of Braintree High School Class of 1978. Throughout her career she worked for AT&T, and most recently Comcast. It was at AT&T that she met her husband, Paul, and together they raised their family. In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by her sons and daughters in law- Michael O’Brien of Plymouth, MA, Michael and Melanie Beaulieu of Berkley, MA, Jamie and Erin Beaulieu of Carver, MA, Paul and Nora Beaulieu of Artesia, NM, Sean and Lauren Beaulieu of Carver, MA, Christopher and Julianna Beaulieu of Carver, MA. Susan also leaves behind her twelve grandchildren, who lovingly called her Tai Tai. She played an integral part in their lives and showed each one unconditional love. To her grandchildren, she was a teacher, story teller, caregiver, listener, and an overall support in any way needed. Susan also leaves behind her siblings- Paula Bates, Kathryn Prioli, William O’Brien and Richard O’Brien, as well as nieces, nephews and many family and friends. She was, and will forever be, loved by all her family and those in her life.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, October 22nd from 3-7 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home- 116 Main Street, Carver. Interment will be a private ceremony, remembering Susan in the presence of immediate family.

Susan’s memory will always be carried in our hearts.

“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
