I first met Barbara at The Community Garden Club of Duxbury. I have a four old great granddaughter who when she likes something a lot says, "it warms my heart". Barbara Taylor warmed my heart.
I think we were sympatico. We were close in age. She sang in the choir at Holy Family--I bellowed from my pew there. I loved her accent--it reminded me of home, New York. She had a great sense of style-- I loved everything she wore and wished I had it. Barbara also had a wonderful sense of humor; a Garden Club meeting without Barbara wouldn't be as much fun.
What's not to have liked about Barbara Taylor? I feel privileged to have known her. I am sad I will never see her again.

Traveling in New England last year I stopped to see Barbra at her home in Duxbury. My intention was to bring lunch and to spend a few minutes with her and Nancy! However in true Barbra style she treated me to an amazing feast of homemade lobster rolls and grilled peppers. She proudly showed me through her house allowing me to photograph her and what was clearly the statement of her life. Barbra and her warm spirit made this the highlight of my trip!

My sister Barbara had a remarkable spirit that guided her life and set the lead for her siblings and friends.
Her travels inspired us…her cooking skills and decorating ideas were admired. Am missing her daily!

My favorite memory of my Aunt Barbara was going to Cape Cod as a child and eating clams. We also went on a carousel ride while visiting. Aunt Barbara, you are in a better place now even though those of us who are still here will miss you.
