Obituary of Teeka Lynne Isakson

Please share a memory of Teeka to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Teeka Lynne (Garron) Isakson, 47, of Kingston, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, in Boston, MA, due to complications of a brain injury. She was surrounded by family and friends, listening to music, singing, and shared memories.

Teeka was born on February 1, 1977, in Framingham, MA, to Troy and Marilyn Garron. Teeka graduated from Silver Lake Regional High School in 1995. She then went on to pursue her passion for hair and cosmetology.

With her creativity, ambition, and skills, Teeka went on to open her own business, Teeka Lynne’s Salon and Day Spa, in Halifax, MA, in 2006. As a business owner, it was Teeka’s goal to create  a place where people felt comfortable and cared for. As a hairstylist, she formed special bonds with each of her clients. She and her clients shared stories and details of their lives, seeing each other through the best and worst times, holding each other up through both laughter and tears. She opened her heart to everyone and made sure they left the salon feeling confident, beautiful, and loved, because at Teeka Lynne’s, “it’s all about you.”

Married in 1999, Teeka and her husband Eric shared a life full of love and dedication, to both each other and their two daughters, Kyla and Cierra. Teeka and Eric enjoyed going fishing and kayaking out on the local ponds on a warm summer’s evening at sunset. They also frequented hiking trails in the area. They are incredibly proud of their children, knowing that they raised strong, independent women who are loving, caring, and generous.

Family meant everything to Teeka. She spent so much time with everyone, either individually or as a full family. She coordinated family dinners, birthday parties, and made sure we took the time to appreciate each other’s company. She loved her family so much and did anything and everything for them, regardless of whether or not they asked. She was fondly known as “Teek,” “Teek Dogg,” and “AUNTIE.” She was always greeted with a sing-songy “Hi, Mum” or “Hi, Teeka” by her children.

The love and care that her parents and family showed her shone through her actions in the community. No matter who asked, Teeka was ready and willing to help. Teeka was the one to go to if you needed a solution, needed to vent, or just wanted to tell her a story. She was always willing to listen and help everyone. Teeka loved working with community organizations and events. The South Shore Foster Closet was a cause near and dear to her. She collected clothing donations throughout the year, coordinated gift donations for dozens of children around each holiday season, and went above and beyond to be there for the children, their families, and the organization founders. Teeka truly touched the lives of so many people.

Teeka was always a lover of travel. From her countless trips to California, to family trips to New York, Maine, Florida, and Hawaii, she always had an amazing adventure on the calendar. Her catchphrase became “Book it, Danno” everytime we needed to make a decision during planning. Teeka loved being outdoors, and she enjoyed the little things: walking on the beach collecting sea glass, rocks, shells, and shark teeth; enjoying a beautiful sunset; exploring a new trail or visiting a favorite spot; She could be found every morning tending to her gardens. Teeka shared her mother’s love of crafting and scoring a great deal at Marshall’s.

Teeka is survived by her husband, Eric of Kingston; daughter, Kyla and her boyfriend Danny of Bridgewater, MA; daughter, Cierra and her boyfriend Jonny of Alton, NH. She is also survived by her father, Troy Garron of Duxbury, MA; sister, Tina Garron of Marshfield, MA; brother, Mickey Garron of Duxbury, MA; sister, Marlana Lee, her husband Nick, and their children, Rosabella and Lucia of Bridgewater, MA; godson Javani Rivera, his wife Mackenzie, and their children, Jaxson and Evelyn of Kingston, MA; and best friend, Jennifer Cosman. Teeka’s strong personality and kind spirit will be remembered by countless family members and dear friends in the community and around the world. She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn “Muna” Garron.
