Dear Gloria - We were extremely saddened to hear of the death of Al. We recall with fond memories the special times we had at the Bible Study held here at our home and the fellowship which was so special. We have often thought of both of you and wondered where and how you were doing. We have often said that "once you have entered our Bible Study group, you are never forgotten" and that has been your case. We are remembering you in our prayers - for strength and comfort knowing that this separation is only temporary! Fondly, Marie and Jasper Watts

Allan Fischer was a man's man; an avid hunter, pilot and a mean banjo player! Over 20 years ago, I met Allan through my executive transportation buisness. I would often drive Allan to the airport and we would discuss all manor of issues. He was always a solid sounding board. Eventually, I met his loving and lovely wife Gloria and one day on the way to the airport they told me about this unique church they were attending and after 18 years; North River Community Church has been a tremendous blessing in my life. NRCC would not be what it is today without Allan's drive and determination; his efforts will echo into eternity. Often when people pass away there is an uneasiness as to whether or not they "Knew the Lord". In Allan's case there can be no doubt whatsoever that he is basking in the presence of the Lord and will be setting up a base camp in Paradise. He will be the Angel holding the banjo in God's heavenly choir with that trademark big smile that lit up many a room.
God Bless you my friend, it has been a privilege and a pleasure to know you.
