Obituary of Dorothy F Sime

Dorothy F. Sime passed away peacefully on August 17, 2020 in Kingston. She was 93 years old. Dorothy was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Gardner. She was born in Boston, grew up in Weymouth and raised her family in Pembroke along with her late husband, Brian A Sime.  Dot and Brian were married 56 years and raised their son, Brian A. Sime Jr and daughter, the late Judith C. Sime in Pembroke. Dorothy was an accomplished quilter and artist. She was a faithful member of the United Church of Christ in Pembroke and Scituate. She sang in the choir, served as a Deacon, attended Bible Study and participated in a writing ministry to church members. Dot was an avid supporter of Bread for the World and shared her passion with her church Mission Committee and with Pilgrim Association. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Memorial Garden of the First Trinitarian Congregational Church, 381 Country Way, Scituate, MA  on Saturday, August 29th at 10:00 AM. Masks and physical distancing will be required.  Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cranberry Area Hospice, 36 Cordage Park Circle, Suite 326, Plymouth, MA 02360.
