Obituary of Casimir Prince

On February 16, 2021, Casimir Elaine Prince, 80, passed away after a long illness. The daughter of Casimir R. Devine and Patrick J. Flaherty, Mrs. Prince was born in Boston in 1941, educated at Notre Dame Academy and the Newton College of the Sacred Heart, and taught English at the Boston Latin Academy. She is survived by her husband, Julius A. Prince, Jr., her sister Patricia Flaherty, brother in law Walter Prince and his wife Dorothy, sister in law Vivian Prince Dow and her husband Gary, and many nieces, and nephews, and several grand nieces and grand nephews.
Elaine and Julius celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in August 2020. They lived in Duxbury for many years and were active in town activities. Upon her retirement from teaching, Elaine volunteered at the Duxbury Free Library, the Art Complex Museum, and the Talking Information Center. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and especially interacting with friends and relatives, to whom her life was a blessing. She will be remembered with love and gratitude.
Funeral arrangements will be private. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations in her name be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation at www.bcrf.org, or to a charity of your choice.
